We drove out and explored the park on the north end and enjoyed looking out at the water. There are a multitude of birds here and even though it was a bit overcast lots of people were out and about also. We met a man from Greenwich, CT while walking on the beach who was riding a very nice looking foldable bicycle. It actually would fit into a suitcase! We spent several minutes with him while he described its features making this one of those potential want list items for the motor home.
And now a picture is worth a thousand words:
Long Island Sound beyond the sand dune.
Jim gazes at the water.
The beach is rocky here.
An interesting rock formation (a ring) around the top of this rock.
Apple blossoms.
A natural formation of rock juts out into the sea.
A marine center beyond a beach shelter on the left.
The foldable bike in its rideable form.
Folded into the size of a suitcase!
Just got caught up after spending the last few days in Washington DC. Love your descriptive writing and the beautiful pictures. Makes me feel part of the adventure. Glad everything is going well. Can't wait to read more! Miss you.
